About DentistFees
DentistFees reads what London dental practices publish about their own prices, and puts it in one place with the sample size attached. Nothing here is estimated, modelled or supplied by a practice.
Dental pricing in London is not secret so much as scattered. Roughly a third of practices publish a fee guide on their own website; the rest publish nothing, or a single “from” figure that describes the cheapest possible case. A patient comparing two practices a mile apart has no way of knowing whether £350 is normal for their borough or twice what the practice down the road asks.
So we read the fee guides, treatment by treatment and borough by borough, and publish the middle price, the middle half, and every individual price behind them, each linked to the practice's CQC registration. Where only a handful of practices publish a figure we publish nothing at all, because a median of three prices is not a market rate. Where the sample is thin, the page says how thin.
What we will not do
We take no payment from practices, for a listing or for position. We publish no reviews and no star ratings. We hold no data from the GDC register — check any clinician yourself at olr.gdc-uk.org. We are not authorised by the FCA and carry no links to insurance, payment plans or credit. We do not take bookings, arrange treatment or refer patients anywhere, in the UK or abroad. The CQC does not award ratings to dental practices, so neither do we: we show the inspection outcome in the regulator's own words and link to the report.
Who runs it
One person, working from outside the UK, with no commercial relationship to any practice listed. Every data source is named on the page that uses it. If a price here is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will re-read the fee guide and correct it — a practice can ask us to re-read its page at any time, though not to remove a price it publishes publicly itself.
