Crowns in Brent

Prices read 28 August 2026 · How we verify prices

20 dental practices in Brent publish what they charge for crowns. Half of them ask between £402 and £550 for a tooth, and the middle price is £500 — about the same as the £500 pooled median across the 3 boroughs where we hold crowns prices. The figures below are those practices' own published fees, read in August 2026, each one linked to the practice and its CQC registration. They are not quotes: what you pay depends on what the examination finds. A crown on the NHS is a Band 3 charge of £332.10.

How this is worked out. Every figure comes from a price list the practice publishes itself. We drop “from” prices, which describe the cheapest possible case rather than a price, and variants narrower than the treatment named. 20 Brent practices remain. The middle price across all 3 boroughs we cover is £500. How we read a fee guide.

Why do some Brent practices list under half the median?

1 of 20 published prices are below £250: My Dental Surgery - Kenton Road (£200). A figure this far below the borough median is often a narrower product than the rest of the table (a single session, a top-up, or an introductory offer) — check what the practice's fee guide includes before comparing.

Every statement above is computed from the 20 published prices in the table below; it changes when the data changes.

A low figure is a real published fee, not a quote — complexity can change the price. Always confirm. How we verify

What the price includes

A crown normally takes two appointments: preparation and an impression or scan, then fitting. The quoted price should include the temporary crown, the laboratory work and the fit. Confirm whether it does, because a separate laboratory fee is a common addition.

How long crowns last

A prospective study following 562 zirconia restorations in general practice for fifteen years found a cumulative failure rate of 28.33%. Roughly one crown in four does not reach fifteen years, which is worth knowing before treating a crown as permanent. Crowns on implants ran into more complications than crowns on natural teeth.

The NHS alternative

Crowns fall in NHS Band 3 at £332.10 — the same nationally set charge that covers dentures and bridges. Material choice is more limited than privately, and availability varies.
